Have years of experience but no formal certificate? Or certified long ago and need to refresh? Our PLA is designed just for you.
Eligibility
PLA is open to beauty professionals who have earned their skills outside a formal classroom setting.
Individuals with industry experience in beauty, aesthetics, massage therapy, hair, or wellness - but who have never received formal certification for their skills.
Persons who were certified in the past but whose qualifications have expired, are outdated, or need to be updated to current industry standards and techniques.
Important Note
PLA does not replace full programme enrollment. It is a streamlined assessment pathway for those who already possess the knowledge and skills - allowing them to receive official certification without completing the full course curriculum.
The Process
Each PLA assessment has two parts and can be completed online or in person.
Email info@thebeautyinstituteja.com to express your interest and indicate the module(s) you wish to be assessed in.
The number of modules is determined by the course you are applying for. BIJ will advise you on which modules apply to your situation.
A fee is charged per assessment based on the number of modules. All payments are made directly to the bank.
Sit your theory test and practical assessment. Both can be completed online or in person at the school.
Upon successful completion, your certificate is issued within 2 weeks. If you do not pass, you receive one free resit.
Based on number of modules - contact us for a quote specific to your course.
One free retake if you do not pass your first attempt.
Accredited and internationally recognised upon successful completion.
Both theory and practical can be completed online - no travel required.
